Águas de Portugal Águas de Portugal- AdP is a leading group operating in the environmental sector in Portugal with the mission to contribute to the pursuit of national objectives in the water supply, wastewater sanitation and treatment and recovery of waste, within a framework of economic, financial, technical, social and environmental sustainability.

Águas de Moçambique Águas de Moçambique, the subsidiary of the AdP Group, operates the water supply service of Mozambique and the neighbouring municipalities of Matola and Boane as well as in the towns of Beira, Quelimane, Nampula and Pemba, covering a total population of more than four million. The mission of AdM is: to provide a water distribution service in a form that is profitable for the company’s shareholders and that complies with international standards for service regularity and water quality.

Administration of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine The State Border Service of Ukraine is charged with the tasks of ensuring inviolability of state borders and protection of sovereign rights of Ukraine in its exclusive (maritime) economic zone.

Agency for Sustainable Development and Euro Integration – Eco-regions The Agency for Sustainable Development and Euro Integration – Eco-regions (ASDE) is a non-governmental organisation. It is a legal entity. All activities of ASDE are realized with governmental, municipal and public support with the aim to foster the sustainable development of Bulgaria and the successful integration in the European Union. These activities are in correlation with the national economical, environmental and social interest and with the priorities of the Agenda 21 of the United Nations Organisation, the Strategy for sustainable development of the European Union.

Geo-information Office of the German Federal Armed Forces AGeoBw is the Geo-information Office of the German Federal Armed Forces (Bundeswehr Geo-Information Office – BGIO). It serves as the single source provider of geospatial information to the German Military Forces. The organisation maintains a worldwide geo-database that it uses to produce a range of products including city maps, topographic line maps, aeronautical products, digital data sets, and meteorological planning and forecast materials for the German Military and NATO. The utilization of civilian space-borne SAR data has become of potential interest for AGeoBw as second generation satellites like TerraSAR-X and RADARSAT-2 provide the flexibility and resolution to meet military requirements.

International Medical Assistance AMI (International Medical Assistance) is a Portuguese non-governmental organization (NGO), non-political, non-religious and non-profitable. It was founded in 1984, by Dr. Fernando Nobre, a general surgeon and urologist, who is now the current President. AMI leads an humanitarian action throughout the world, intervenes in emergency situations, wars, refugee camps and in natural disasters. It also carries out medical missions and supports local projects. After having accomplished the first goal - working in Portuguese language African countries – AMI extended its intervention to rest of the African continent and also to other continents.

ARA Sul Established in 1993 ARA-Sul is an autonomous public sector entity responsible for the decentralised and integrated management of water resources of the southern Mozambique on the basis of river basins. ARA-Sul manages three major dams (Massingir, Corumana and Pequenos Libombos) and a large weir at Macarretane on the Limpopo river basin, as well as a number of smaller dams, dykes and other hydraulic structures, and a large hydrometric network.

Federal Criminal Police Office The Federal Criminal Police Office (Bundeskriminalamt or BKA) is the central office for co-operation between the federation and the federal states in all criminal police matters. It also serves as the central office for police information and intelligence, and for the criminal police, and constitutes the National Central Bureau of the Federal Republic of Germany for the International Criminal Police Organisation (ICPO-Interpol). The responsibilities of the Federal Criminal Police Office include official relations of the police forces of both levels – federal and state - with foreign police and justice authorities, as well as with other relevant public bodies; assistance to federal and state police forces to prevent and prosecute criminal offences of inter-regional or international importance, or of considerable significance; police tasks related to criminal prosecution; protection of members of constitutional organs; protection of witnesses, their families or close associates.

The Bonn International Centre for Conversion The Bonn International Centre for Conversion (BICC), established in 1994, is a research institute located in Bonn, Germany. As an independent, non-profit organization BICC is dedicated to promoting and facilitating peace and development .BICC's main objective is to make use of the chances offered by disarmament and demobilisation, whilst at the same time helping to avoid or lessen the negative effects. BICC seeks to assist in preventing violent conflict and hence contribute to their constructive transformation. While disarmament frees resources, which can be employed in the fight against poverty, conversion allows for a targeted, best possible reuse of these resources.

Austrian Foreign Ministry Austrian Foreign Ministry is responsible for handling Austria's foreign policy. They are interested in information for future crisis management operations and contingency plans for the evacuation of Austrian citizens.

BGHOM BGHOM is in charge of geospatial information support to the French General Staff. BGHOM is the acronym for Bureau Geographic, Hidrographic, Oceanographic et Metereologic de l'Etat Major des Armees.

Cuerpo de Asistencia para el Desarrollo Alternativo CADA (Cuerpo de Asistencia para el Desarrollo Alternativo) is an organism of the Peruvian Home Office. It has been supportting the quantification of coca illicit crops since 1997 and opium poppy cultivation since 2000. The main goal of the institution is to quantify and monitor coca illicit crops at national level, and also locate and detect opium poppy cultivation. The institution usually uses satellite images in this quantification, such as IKONOS, QuickBird, Radarsat, Spot-5, Aster, Landsat, etc. It also uses radiometric measurements to detect poppy.

European External Action Service

The European External Action Service is a functionally autonomous body of the European Union. The EEAS acts under the authority of the High Representative (HR) and supports the fulfillment of her mandate to conduct the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) and to ensure the consistency of the EU's external action. The CSDP military requirements are defined by the EU Military Staff (EUMS), responsible for providing military expertise for the HR for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and performing early warning, strategic planning and situation assessment. The EUMS is the only permanent military structure of the EU. The European Satellite Center (EUSC) as a member of G-MOSAIC is acting as an interface for CSDP external action and intelligence-related issues. In this capacity, the EUSC is expressing the requirements of relevant EEAS bodies, i.e requirements defined by the EUMS and requirements from the SitCen.

French Ministry of Defense Ministère de la Défense is the French government department responsible for defence planning and operational management of the armed forces.

FRONTEX Frontex, the EU agency based in Warsaw, was created as a specialised and independent body tasked to coordinate the operational cooperation between Member States in the field of border security. The activities of Frontex are intelligence driven. Frontex complements and provides particular added value to the national border management systems of the Member States.

Global Witness Global Witness exposes the corrupt exploitation of natural resources and international trade systems, to drive campaigns that end impunity, resource-linked conflict, and human rights and environmental abuses. Global Witness was established in 1993 and numbers over forty staff divided between its offices in London and Washington DC. Global Witness was the first organisation that sought to break the links between the exploitation of natural resources, and conflict and corruption; and the results of Global Witness’ investigations and powerful lobbying skills have been not only a catalyst, but a main driver behind most of the major international mechanisms and initiatives that have been established to address these issues; including the Kimberley Process and the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI). Global Witness is largely responsible for natural resources occupying the prominent role in the international agenda that they currently do.

Instituto Geográfico Agustín Codazzi The INSTITUTO GEOGRÁFICO AGUSTÍN CODAZZI - IGAC, is the entity responsible for producing the official map and basic cartography in Colombia; developing the national property register, making an inventory of soil characteristics; making progress in geographical research as territorial development support, training and educating professionals in geographical information technologies and coordinating the Infraestructura Colombiana de Datos Espaciales (ICDE)

Italian Ministry of Defence The Italian Ministry of Defence is the department of the Italian government whose task is the civil and military management of defence and the maximum authority in military field. In particular the SMD, directly involved in G-MOSAIC, draft the policy guidelines of the Italian Defence and make the function of National interface to the International Organizations (ONU, NATO, UE, etc.).

Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) is responsible for carrying out the functions and tasks of the State in matters concerning Italy's external political, economic, social and cultural relations; the representation, coordination and protection of Italian interests at the international level; the analysis, definition and implementation of Italian action in international policy matters; relations with other countries and with international organisations; the drafting and review of treaties and international conventions and the coordination of the activities involved in executing them; the study and resolution of questions involving international law, as well as international legal cases; the representation of the Italian position regarding the implementation of provisions connected with the common foreign and security policy as envisaged by the Treaty of the European Union and the external political and economic relations of the European Union; development cooperation; emigration and the protection of the Italian community and workers abroad; and European integration activities regarding claims and negotiating processes in connection with the treaties of the European Union, the European Community, the ECSC and EURATOM.

International Peace Information Service IPIS - the acronym of International Peace Information Service - is an independent research institute which focuses on Sub-Saharan Africa. IPIS studies concern three core themes: arms trade, exploitation of natural resources and corporate social responsibility.

Polish Military Intelligence Directorate J2 The Military Intelligence Directorate J2 is a specialised unit within the structures of the Polish Armed Forces. J2 Unit is responsible for collection and analysis of information on any military threats by which the Republic of Poland can be affected. It's main functions include the following: collection and analysis of data about military situations, infrastructure and geographical environment according to J2 needs and identification of potential threats; analysis of influence of geographical environment on military activities and operations; preparation of operational strategy for Polish Armed Forces in case of military risks inside the Republic of Poland and for foreign missions; information and data exchange on national and allies level; intelligence support for NATO and EU.

Polish National Defense University The National Defence University (NDU) is the highest level academy for the Polish Armed Forces, which educates students and conducts scientific research especially for the needs of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland. The NDU also educates civilians in the field of national defence and prepares them to work i.e. in the Parliament as well as national and local administration. The university meets all criteria required in the field of higher education and promoting academic staff. The National Defence University is therefore a vital element of national educational system and co-establishes Polish science.

Observatoire satellital des forêts d’Afrique Centrale Observatoire satellital des forêts d’Afrique Centrale, located in Kinshasa, OSFAC was launched as the GOFC-GOLD network for Central Africa under the Global Terrestrial Observing System (GTOS). Its primary objectives are to support the management of natural resources and promote sustainable development by producing reliable land cover products, distributing satellite data, building capacity and providing technical assistance to implementing partners.

Resource Consulting Services Resource Consulting Services (RCS) is a research, strategy development and implementation consultancy that provides considered solutions to clients’ challenges in extractive and agricultural sectors.

Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development The Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development previously known as Regional Centre for Services in Surveying, Mapping and Remote Sensing (RCSSMRS) was established in Nairobi, Kenya in 1975 under the auspices of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) and the Organisation of African Unity (OAU). Its founder members are Kenya, Uganda, Somalia, Tanzania and Malawi and the Government of the Republic of Kenya hosts it. It is a non-profit intergovernmental organisation and currently has 15 contracting member States.

Spanish Red Cross The Spanish Red Cross was founded in 1864. It was recognized by the ICRC in 1893 and joined the League (now the International Federation) in 1919. The statutes were last updated in 2000, and the rules of procedure in 1998. The structure of the Spanish Red Cross is based on the administrative divisions of the state and covers the whole country. The objectives of the Spanish Red Cross (SRC) are defined in its statutes, while the general assembly updates the mission and operational objectives of the society every four years. The regional, provincial and local committees adapt their work plans to the general objectives.

United Nations Environment Programme The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) coordinates United Nations environmental activities, assisting developing countries in implementing environmentally sound policies and encourages sustainable development through sound environmental practices. Its activities cover a wide range of issues regarding the atmosphere, marine and terrestrial ecosystems. It has played a significant role in developing international environmental conventions, promoting environmental science and information and illustrating the way those can work in conjunction with policy, working on the development and implementation of policy with national governments and regional institution and working in conjunction with environmental Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs).

United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operations As a result of a restructuring of Department of Peacekeeping Operations (DPKO) DFS was created with the primary responsibility of supporting peace operations (peacekeeping and peace-building operations) managed by both DPKO and the Department of Political Affairs (DPA). In particular the Cartographic Section renders Geographic Information support to the UN in all matters related to the UN Operations.

United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is mandated to assist Member States in their struggle against illicit drugs, crime and terrorism. In the Millennium Declaration, Member States also resolved to intensify efforts to fight transnational crime in all its dimensions, to redouble the efforts to implement the commitment to counter the world drug problem and to take concerted action against international terrorism. UNODC is a global leader in the fight against illicit drugs and international crime. Established in 1997 through a merger between the United Nations Drug Control Programme and the Centre for International Crime Prevention, UNODC operates in all regions of the world through an extensive network of field offices
